For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity.William Penn I created this website in memory of my little bro Thomas Alan Burris aka "Tommy" who was born in Austin,TX on January 18, 1984 and passed away on November 28, 2005. Tommy was a very happy person who loved life. Along for the ride was his favorite little dog Heffy. He loved football, and he was very proud of his school, Texas State. Tommy had many friends which his death deeply affected. I hope everyone will honor him with their memories and prayers. Tommy will forever remain in our hearts.

Aunt's Memories |

When you guys first moved back to Indiana I took Tommy with me to the drug store to get something. We were checking out and the Lady at the check out looks at Tommy and said what a really nice tan he had. I told her its was his natural skin tone. He was always handsome and caught the ladys eyes. He was so little when you first came back and he would sit in front of my TV and would play video games for hours. He was such a little man.
I remember when we were little if Tommy ever hurt me he would try to bribe me to keep me quiet. He knew if I told my parents he would be in trouble. Another good memory is when we lived in Indiana, we had a really long driveway. across the street was a train and it would go by every morning while we waited for the bus. Tommy would always pull his arm up and down to tell the conductor to blow the whistle and every time he would. He looked funny standing there with his one front tooth trying to be funny.
Hey remember when Tommy came flyin home in his red Dodge truck and ran in the house late one night and ran upstairs? He told me to say he was at home all night. Then the cops knocked on the door asking for him and said he just got home cuz the truck hood was still warm. I told the cop I was his older sister and he's been home all night and the cop said that someone told him that Tommy was throwing water balloons at the cars as they drove by the park and ended up hitting the cop car too. So I argued that it wasn't Tommy and the cop wanted to speak to Tommy and I said he was asleep but the cop insisted on talking to him so I told him to come down. When Tommy came down the stairs, he only had his tighty whitey's on and the cop said nevermind and left.
I remember Tommy creeping home late one night and he called my cellphone and was really nice asking me to open the front door cuz I was up late watching movies.. and didn't want to wake up mom and dad or Jessy and then had the nerve to ask me to help carry him upstairs cuz he was tipsy and we kept making noises as he stomped upstairs and we giggled like we were kids again. Then yelled out me to get out of his room!!
I remember hanging out with you and Tommy after school, and we would lock him out of your bedroom. lol He wanted to hang with us so bad that he would beat on the door as we giggled on the floor. He was such a cool kid. It's weird seeing pictures of him as an adult. I just always remembered him as this cute little kid who loved to embarrass you in front of your friends. It looks like he never stopped being the cool kid. Always in front with a big smile.

I remember me and Jessy and James and Tommy always playing in Jessy's backyard. I remember one time we were over there playing and we had to leave early because my Grandma had cooked us lunch, she threatened us so we had to go home. lol. We probably came back later for more Burris fun!
